Weetons of Harrogate is bringing an extra touch of magic to the festive season with the launch of The Weetons Christmas Journey to Santa’s Grotto, a brand-new family experience at its flagship Leeds Road store.

More than a traditional visit to Santa, the enchanting Christmas journey invites families to step into a world of festive wonder, with interactive activities, heartwarming storytelling, and a very special Christmas bear for every child to adopt and take home.

The adventure begins at Elf Check-In, where Santa’s helpers welcome little ones before they make their way to Mrs Claus’ Christmas Table. Here, children can decorate their own festive cookie and enjoy a delicious mini hot chocolate before continuing their journey.

One of the most memorable moments comes when each child is invited to choose their very own Christmas bear from a collection of cuddly companions, ready to become a treasured friend for years to come.

With their new bear in hand, families enter Santa’s Grotto for a magical meeting with Father Christmas himself. Children will enjoy a heartwarming Christmas story before officially adopting their bear and receiving a personalised adoption certificate. The experience concludes with a family photo opportunity, capturing a festive memory to treasure.

Priced at £40 per child, the experience includes every activity, a Christmas bear to take home and complimentary entry for up to two accompanying adults. The Grotto event will run from 5th to 24th December.

“We wanted to create something that goes beyond the traditional visit to Santa,” says Rebecca Germaine, Food Services Manager at Weetons. “Christmas is all about those little moments of magic that children remember, and we've put so much thought into making every part of the journey feel special. It's an experience families can enjoy together, with something meaningful for children to take home and treasure long after Christmas.”

Alongside the new Christmas Journey, seasonal celebrations are in full swing at Weetons’ flagship Leeds Road store, with festive wreath-making workshops and the return of its much-loved Breakfast with Santa. The brand’s renowned Christmas hampers are also back for 2026, thoughtfully curated with premium Yorkshire produce and artisan treats.
